Police Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) has assured that Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination candidates wearing their school uniforms will be given a priority pass through at police roadblocks.

According to Utusan Malaysia, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that this relaxation will be in effect throughout the entire examination period beginning Monday (22 Feb).

SPM candidates or parents who bring their children in school uniforms from 22 February 22 to next Wednesday will be given a quick release when going through roadblocks.

Acryl Sani also explained that the easing restrictions will also be given on specific dates for candidates taking additional subjects examinations.

Nonetheless, he advised that parents and SPM candidates plan ahead to avoid any unexpected blocks or delays on their way to the examination centre.

From 22nd February, SPM, as well as Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) candidates will be sitting for the examinations at the 3,310 centres in a new normal environment, complete with strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
