9,180 more Covid-19 cases were reported in Malaysia on Friday (9 July), a new record since the 9,020 daily infections logged on 29 May 2021.
The Klang Valley again recorded exceptionally high numbers with 4,400 new infections identified in Selangor, 1,271 cases in Kuala Lumpur and another 16 cases in Putrajaya.

Nationwide, cumulative cases since the start of the pandemic have reached a total of 817,838.
