Malaysians love spicy food. It doesn’t matter where it comes from– if it packs heat, it’s good.

In that spirit, KFC is unveiling their Extra Hot & Spicy Chicken tomorrow in conjunction with Merdeka month.

The chicken promises to be spicier & crunchier than its iconic counterpart with a new secret recipe.

Fresh chicken pieces are marinated in the new seasoned marinade recipe, then double hand-breaded with their new spice mix batter giving the exterior a crunchier coating while retaining juices on the inside.

They’ve also added a new special menu item: the KFC Kentang Goncang, which is their Crispier Fries paired with the Hot & Spicy seasoning for a true flavour bomb.

Their menu seems quite familiar, since Malaysians have already been introduced to extra spicy fried chicken and shakable seasoned fries, but will it be able to stand on its own?

We’ll find out when it releases nationwide tomorrow, 26th August, when it will be available in 2pc, 3pc, or Box Meal sets, or as a Bucket Combo. The Kentang Goncang will be available with the set meals or a la carte.
