A clinical audit data analysis shows that out of 12,993 Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia, just 4 cases or 0.03% were fully vaccinated and 80, or 0.6%, were partially vaccinated.

The statistics were shared by Heath Director-General Tan Sri Dr Hoor Hisham Abdullah in a Twitter post recently.

Since Mid-July the number of daily Covid-19 Deaths in Malaysia reaching three digits became a common sight and across the country, the fatality rate for Covid-19 is about 0.91%.

So far, the highest number of Covid-19 deaths in a day was recorded on 8 August with 360 cases. 

Yesterday (17 August) recorded 293 Dovid-19 deaths bringing the number up to 13,077.

This is despite the drop in the number of covid-19 patients that need hospitalisation.

None of these data, in any way, suggests that you should not get vaccinated. In fact it proves that vaccination is effective. So please, get vaccinated.
