A weak earthquake, measuring 3.1 on the Richter Scale, hit Kundasang in Sabah at 7.27am today (14 August).

MetMalaysia said in a statement that the quake was detected 13km northwest of Ranau, Sabah, at a depth of 10km.

Tremors were also felt around Kundasang and Ranau. MetMalaysia said it would continue to monitor the situation closely.

Those who felt the tremors were also asked to fill in a survey in the link provided.

The last time an earthquake happened and tremors were felt in Kundasang was on 26 April 2022, based on a news report by The Star.
