Today, we saw a new record of 135 deaths caused by Covid-19 in a single day (8 July 2021).

This is in addition to today’s record number of new cases in Selangor and second-highest number of new cases nationwide (8,868).

Previously, the second highest number of deaths was 126 on 2 June 2021.

Currently, the total number of deaths sit at 5,903 since the start of the pandemic.
